I had a similar situation where the men had a talk with a girl I was dating and told her to quit seeing me because my dad was carnal and therefore it was guilt by association. It was all for the betterment of my life as about 6 years later I became very happily married to the woman GOD had chosen for me. You may have been really hurt and damaged by the group, but God may also have a better plan for you. I know this probably doesn't make you feel any better but I just thought I would try. Keep your chin up!

I have a brother who has disowned his family and dishonored his parents (in violation of God's commandment to "honor thy parents"). I have several relatives whose families have been hurt beyond imagination by the dictatorial and cultic mind-control tactics of the leaders of this group. This is a dangerous group and it need to be stopped. With prayer and message boards like this one, maybe a difference can be made and the hurt and damage to people's lives can be stopped!
Posted on Monday, August 30, 2004 - 7:25 pm:This is a problem we will run into...there are numerous reports that can't be corroborated but that I know in my heart are 100% factual because of the honor of those reporting them. I know what you are saying, Richard, about a fair hearing. But, as far as I am concerned, all these uncorroborated reports notwithstanding, I have seen enough in Robert that he is already convicted in my mind as being divisive and cruel, and perverted. What exactly is he getting a hearing for? Look at the families he has torn apart, is that not enough evidence?

I actually think I can answer my own question...they DO see what he is doing and they are brainwashed into believing that it is the right thing. Let us not forget the harm other leaders did before Robert took over, some of them were almost as bad.
Remember Bob Birkholz? He was one of the most legalistic and condescending leaders and at the same time he was having sex down at the local massage parlor!

Jon, are you happy with how you have treated mom and dad all these years? I know for a fact that it is tearing your children's hearts apart not to be able to see them. YOU will be responsible before God for the ungodly way you have treated mom and dad and kept their grandchildren from seeing them. If you had any backbone whatsoever you would respond to what dad has written here and tell him how he is wrong. But you can't, because you are following men instead of God. You are afraid of what men will do to you and not what is right before God. Your silence and the silence of others in RAG is very predictable. You should be absolutely ashamed of yourself! You were raised in an awesome Christian home by the best parents in the world and in return you spit in their face. Congratulations, I hope you are happy. However, I know you are NOT happy. You may even think you are doing what is right, but that just shows how far gone you are. You HAVE to be tortured and miserable inside. If not, something is dreadfully wrong with you. I am praying for you brother, that you will not throw away the rest of your time on earth here. Make things right with God and mom and dad. There is still time.
